Giulia Nicolini

Researcher, Shaping Sustainable Markets

Giulia’s broad interest is in food systems, with a particular focus on the links between food and environment.
Full biography

She has previously conducted research on supply-side barriers to vegetable consumption in the UK (The Food Foundation), chokepoints in the global food chain (Chatham House), and the application of social science methods to food safety risk assessment and communication (European Food Safety Authority).

Giulia has also conducted research on local food in Trieste, Italy, and on the intersection of technology and human behaviour for the technology sector. With a background in social sciences, she is an experienced qualitative researcher, with particular expertise in ethnography and interview techniques.
