Expertise

Energy access and renewable energy for impact in low-income countries; energy and renewable energy off/on-grid policy; on-grid and off-grid technologies; technology for development; project cycle management; curriculum development; as well as national stakeholder and grassroots community engagement.

Before IIED

Project management background with extensive in-country implementation experience in energy access, community engagement, education, and environment in various contexts including Mongolia, Iraq, Liberia, and Sierra Leone; master’s degree in international development from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).

Current work

Energy and economic development; designing energy services for impact; gender, traditionally marginalised groups and inclusion; market-based approaches to off-grid energy; policy and regulatory reform; climate change and energy access in Least Developed Countries.
