Sejal Patel

Researcher, Climate Change

Sejal Patel is an environmental economist with experience in public policy analysis, climate finance and governance, and climate-resilient development. Her work focuses on international, national and local level climate policy responses and resourcing.

Climate finance; policy and governance; energy policy; adaptation and mitigation responses for climate-resilient development; economics of climate change. Experience in Kenya, China, India, Chile and Morocco.

Political economy assessments of adaptation interventions; analysis of climate policies and financing under the UNFCCC framework and the Sustainable Development Goals; supporting the development of innovative financing for promoting local action on climate change; and working with the Least Developed Countries Group to support their LDC Initiative for Effective Adaptation and Resilience.
